Mediabin Dialog trigger event?

I have a mediabin dialog that populates a fields in my DCT for new assets, the field is also associated with a plain 'Browse' button.

I have a need to trigger the onChange event on the fields once the value is set. The 'Browse' button triggers the onChange, but when it is populated via the mediabin, it appeart the event is not trigggered. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a workaround?
Is there something you can put in the dialog itself?
