DataDeploy Concept: Deploying Comma Separated Values

Looking for some expertise here.

I'm doing a DataDeploy. There are two comma separated text items in DCR. Say first item has values (1,2) and second item has values (A,B,C). Now my requirement is such that I need six rows entered in the database (1,A), (1,B), (1,C), (2,A), (2,B) and (2,C).
When I configure DataDeploy for Deploying Comma Separated Lists of Values as Replicants, only two rows get inserted in database (1,A) and (2,B).

My first question, is there a way in DataDeploy to achieve what I'm looking for?

My second question, shouldn't there have been a third entry (NULL, C)?

No direct approaches are availble in Datadeploy.
You have two options
1. Customize datadeploy using tuple preprocessor
2. Customized approach to update DB from Teamsite like DBI, or jdbc in java
