Thanks for your reply.
String contains complete page path.I am doing from the external component.
Ex String pageName="//hsldgsdmnk9312/default/main/user_work/WORKAREA/wa/sites/samplesite/gc.page";

Problem:I am not able to convert from string(pageName) to CSSimplefile.

The main requirement is to get the extended attribute from the page.

are you doing this from a workflow Task or an external java app? Usually you create CSFile then you cast that to CSSimpleFile. something like CSSimpleFile file = (CSSimpleFile) csfile;

It is easy if you are doing it from a WF Task since you would be working with CSFiles already. but if you are doing it from an external app, you will have to first get CSClient obj, then use it with info from the file name (area vpath, file vpath) to create a CSFile then convert that to CSSimpleFile.
