MediaBin - Create a new task to combine multiple images to from a pdf

We have a requirement to create a pdf out of multiple assets.
How can this be achieved ?
I understand that OOTB there is no functionality to achieve this.However even if custom code is used,what should be the approach

Hi,

Let me give a scenario to explain the requirement better:

"User performs a search on a particular folder and gets 10 assets in Search Results
Now user wants to select all those assets and make a single pdf containing these 10 assets."

I am aware of creating pdf from a single asset using PDF Encoder primitive.However combining multiple assets in one is what we want.

Please suggest.

What you need is outside the ability of MediaBin.

I have done this using a 3rd party tool/API to create the PDF. It isn't too difficult (for a developer). You can get the assets out as PDFs and simply join them together using the tool/API into a multipage PDF.

Another option is to get them out as images and use the tool/API to create the PDF with one or more images per page.

I have done both for MediaBin customers. I'd be happy to give you advice or talk to you about it if you want.

Hi Matt,

What's the third party tool you use to get it done. We too have similar kind of requirement.
Any help would be much appreciated.
