Radio button has a strange behavior

Hi All,
i have two radio buttons in my DCT.
I have used window.onload to hide the button B and to show the button A.
Now When DCR is created,I am noticing whether I choose radio button A or B,
but by default radio button A is comming.

Can anybody explain what the peculiarity is?

We are on Teamsite 6.7.2
and We are on linux platform.

you could give more details about ur case, if your question is why button A is showing up by default when loading a DCR then the answer is:

I have used window.onload to hide the button B and to show the button A.

If my answer is correct, then you can resolve your issue by adding more logic in your formAPI to load the button A if a new Form is being created and to load selected button/value if an existing DCR is being loaded.

I would suggest using FormAPI's Event Registry to show or hide buttons instead of using browser's window.onload, which is a lower level function. Search FormAPI documentation and OOTB example datacapture forms for IWEventRegistry.addFormHandler usage.

Call your initialization function for "onFormInit" event and set your item values in this function.
