OD deployment error

Hi,

We are trying to deploy files to a remote server using filelist based deployment but its getting failed. I checked the logs and following error message is received -

For some deployments getting following error in OD base log -
Target path unavailable. Will keep checking

And for others -
ERROR: Could not read phase start message.
LIB: 2011-03-31 10:49:19 Cannot read from socket.

OD receiver log error -
***ERROR - Rcvr read deployment attributes got null, exiting

registryPathChecking is set to "yes" in odrcvr.xml

Any pointers will be appreciated.

You did not mention your od base and reciever versions. From my experience i have seen error

ERROR: Could not read phase start message.
LIB: 2011-03-31 10:49:19 Cannot read from socket.

when there are port issues. Please check if 20014 is not blocked/used by other applications.

For other errors, check if you have correct allowed path entries in odrcvr.xml.

OD base version is 7.1.0.0.0
OD receiver version is 6.2.1.0.0
Both are running on linux environment.

Problem is that deployments are failing intermittently. Some deployments are getting through fine.

Nickismine

1)Try putting block(blockCheckInterval,blockMaxWaitTime) attributes in transfer rules in deployment descriptor file.

2) try deployment in non - transactional mode.
