(It's been a while...)We would like to run TS 7.x on Microsoft 2003 (or 2008) Enterprise Server 64 bit edition. Has anyone tried this? Running in a 32 bit shell is an option.
Contact IWOV support and check with them. I believe it will still be supported .. its just that you wont get any benefit running a 64 bit server edition... Or in other words teamsite is just going to use 32 bit service for all its IPCs and RPCs
It's not listed in the release notes as a supported OS version therefore it won't be supported by AI, and don't expect AI to support it if you run into problems till they announce they support that version of the OS. And because it's not in the list of supported OSes it gives AI support the ability to say they can't help you because you're not running TS on one of the supported OSes. Which means you're putting you and/or your client in a bad situation for support help.Always check to see if the vendor supports the OS you're trying to run their software on. If you don't run it on their supported OS then you're just asking for trouble. Things may work fine but when things go horribly wrong you're going to get told to put it on a supported OS.
This is not true. Checking with Iwov Support might help clarify the situation.. As far as I know, running 32 bit applications on 64 bit OSs is very much possible supported by most processors, Most OSs and most application vendors..i will let Support answer this instead of debating on the subject... Please check with Support and let the Forum know as well..
