Can we preserve the EAs using the attribute applyExtAttrs in OD configuration file while deploying a file from TeamSite server to a non TeamSite solaris webserver? Reading through the OD manual, I found out samples only from TeamSite source to TeamSite target.

In a word - no. TS Extended attributes are tightly coupled with the TS virtual File System.
There is simply nothing to *map* your MD to on non-TS Web Server.

That said, depending on what exactly you are going to do with the Target side Meta Data
you can certainly use Target DB or Target File system to deploy Meta as well as Files.
DB + Data Deploy is probably the easiest approach to implement. Dedicated "MD Files"
would require some designing / coding.
