Virtualization and Database Queries

ENV: TS 6.7.2/SP1 - Win2K3

I've configured TS to virtualize JSPs within the workarea. However, in my JSPs are links, which pass an ID to the DB, which (should) returns the content block associated (in this case a news article).

I guess I assumed that setting up the virtualization regexps were enough and that the JSPs would function as normal. My code has a standard (pseudo code):

if (ID){
  select CONTENT_BLOCK from DB where ID=ID
}
else{
   System.out.println "No article found";
}

All of my pages come back with the "No article found," as if TS is not even attempting to execute the query. Did I miss something? Is that expected behavior?
