Not able to retrieve the value

I have a CGI task which calls a perl file. In the perl file, the user can give the date and time for when the file can be deployed. The form that opens has 2 radio buttons :
1. Immediate - value=1
2. Select date - value=2.

This has been done in a function and i am calling the function by providing the suitable parameters in main.

when i try to access the value of the radio button inside main to see which of the 2 buttons was selected, it is not giving me any value.

I am attaching the code.
To be specific, the statement
my $dtype = $cgi->{form}{"deploytype"};

is not giving any value.
Please can someone help me. .
