WFM (DataSource - Review Task)

I am moving to WFM and have questions regarding the DataSource for Review Task.

I am using a Review Task in the WFM and added the “Available Group” property value as DataSource

(Let say the default one – Live Site Reviewers) and the “Reviewers” property value as the DataSource, which is defined in the Available Group.

Now , I started the work flow and I can see the reviews list in the drop down with the first field blank << att : picture in red mark >>

I want the first value on the drop down by default be the current iw_user
(who submit the work flow) The current iw_user is always a part of the review list

Generally, TeamSite always adds a blank to select lists so that the user is forced to actually make a selection (this is reasonable IMO, though it would be nice to have an option for not doing so).

In your case, you would have to modify the code for generating the select list such that it parses the entries and if it finds a match for the current user pre-selects it. The onus is on you to do the coding.

Adam is correct, but just to be clear, you can't do what Adam is saying without a custom_instantiation.cfg file. It isn't clear that you are doing this and since you point out you are new to WFM, I figured I would throw it out there.

This will allow you to use FormAPI to manipulate the option list after it is populated by your datasource. Or you can use the IWDatasource object to load your values and build the option list yourself.
