OD Admiserver install issues...

In attempting to install the OD Administrative package we've run into an issue. To my knowledge the software installed properly. I was able to see the login prompt in the browser. When attempting to login I got an invalid username/password error. So I investigated this and brought down OD to edit deploy.cfg for the bootstrap admin. When I attempted to re-start OD it will not start and I get an errror pertaining to the schedDB. I've attempted to delete schedDB.properties file to see if this would help but it doesn't. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Made these changes, and restarted but now have a new set of errors. Since I'm starting up OD with a boot_strap owner, the directories were not owned by this owner, "wsdeploy", thus nothing was being allowed to write. But these new errors don't make much sense to me.

You are experiencing a different flavor of the same problem. Whatever process' effective UID is, it does not have required access rights.
Try to run it as root. If you can't contact Support or try to find a KB on the Support site explaining how to run non-root OD, I remember there was one

Thanks Ghoti, that did the trick. I was able to get the OD service back up as my boot_wrap user. But I still can not log into the web interface. I have verified that I'm listed in deploy.cfg as the admin boostrap user:

Deploy.bootStrapUserName: dchristi

But I get:

Failed to authenticate user.Invalid username/password combination. dchristi

This box is running ldap for verification on Team Site. Is there some type of setting that need to be put in an OD admin config file to get the authentication to work? I was hoping that the OD admin would just use the local box credentials and bypasss the ldap.

I'll defer to someone else on this - it's been a while since I've worked on a solaris implementation (more's the shame) - and even longer since I've worried about the OD Admin UI on Solaris (I try to avoid it in general)
