When initiate the deployment through OpenDeploy the logs files are creared with 002 permission (--------w-). Even though the Opendeploy is running as root , we are not able to read the log files. Can you please suggest ? Any help on this is much appreciated.
Along with ghoti's above suggestion, I wonder if it is worth exploring the inheritance on the directory. At least I have seen this on Windows where the directory did not have correct perms. thus any files created in it had the same.
Unless the directory setuid bit is set (or setgid) but that is highly unlikely.
Change permissions, Usually it will be accesible to root. Check with Admin, If u can, add permission to that directory itself. Thanks
Thanks for trying two weeks later - but no cigar. They have to identify and fix relevant umask, not change permissions over and over again every time they need to read yet another OD log.
