XML Format either "iwov" or "xml"

Hi,
I am reading a DCT and then creating a DCR for that particulat categorytype. As we have 2 formats of xml i.e. iwov and xml, this entry is made in templating.cfg file. I am creating a DCR reading a DCT using CSSDK Api's. Is there any way out to know what type of xml format i need to set while creating a DCR apart from reading templating.cfg? I dnt want to read templating.cfg. Can i get xml format information from somewhere else for example a particulat format of DCT etc....

Formal answer is "No", you can not always say just by looking at DCT. One can create XML-conforming template
that will work in IWOV Format as well (the reverse is not true though).

However, for all practical purposes if your Containers have "location" attribute and Items have "pathid" attribute
you can (almost) guarantee that it's an XML format. If they don't it's IWOV.
