Local File Manager error

JoeS

We have a user who gets the following error message when trying to import files into Teamsite:

"Local FIle Manager couldn't create the directory ? for keeping temporary files.

Without this directory, Edit. Edit With and View will not work.

java.security.AccessControlException - access denied.

By default - TeamSite's local file manager wants to create and use C:\IWTEMP - my guess is that the user in question does not have access to create that directory on their local client machine.

An Admin could probably do it and set the permissions for the user on it - or the user might be able to specify a different directory for managing local files in the Local File Manager Setup option (or something like that, I don't have TS access right now)

ask the user to basically create the iw_temp directory under c-drive. Ask him/her to clear all your cookies and temp internet files. I would usually restart my computer once i am done with clean up. ZThen ask them to try it and click ok when it pops up the Java pop up window. Things should work pretty good.
