Encoding Issue while retrieving data from Database

We are facing encoding issues while we are DD’ing the forms with the other language content in it. When we push the dcr (w/other language content) to database through standalone DD through OD, the characters seems to be same but when we are retrieving these fields into an XML (we are generating XMLs after DD) it shows weird characters.

Our TS Ver--> 6.7.2 SP2,

OD ver-->7.1,

OS-->win 2003,

MS SQLServerà Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition

MS SQL 2005 ENCODING -->ucs-2 (which supports UTF-8 and UTF-16)
