facing problem in '<select>' item of instantiation screen

has anyone used the property : selected="t" of a "" item in custom_instantiation.cfg file for workflow?

I am using a item in my cfg file. I am giving one option as selected="t". but in the instantiation screen, am not getting that option as selected by default...
