Error in deleting the group in Teamsite 7.1

I am creating the teamsite group and group is successfully created and group entries are coming properly in tsgroup.xml.
But once the group is created, i am not able to either delete or edit. While deleting it is giving me the error that "Error while deleting the group" and on editing it is saying "No such group exists".

Are you doing this through the command line, the Admin GUI, or via Java code?

You created the group via the Admin UI and you cannot edit or delete the group from the Admin UI?
You are a Master user - right?
If so - I suggest you contact Support since I can't think of a reason for this to fail unless there's something wrong with the installation.

Yes , I have admin rights.
It is strange and i am also not able to figure out any reason for this.
