Inline command in "datacapture.cfg" to call an .ipl file

Lohite

In TS7.1 and windows 2003 environments.

Im using inline command in "datacapture.cfg" to call an .ipl file where all the items are there.
inline command="e:/interwoven/teamsite/iw-perl/bin/iwperl.exe e:/interwoven/teamsite/custom/bin/Article.ipl"

Is there any way that I can invoke iwperl.exe and specify the ipl file name in relative fashion rather than hardcoding the paths like above.
so that if I want to deploy to some other server where the path of the perl may differ.

wish there was, but I have not found one. You can do it for generic IPL scripts by using iwgethome.

Hi Nipper,
I have tried with iwgethome,it is throwing an error like "The system cannot find the path specified".

Take a look at [thread=33376]this[/thread] discussion. Note that it is 6.7.2 though, I do not know if this mechanism has been exposed in 6.7.1

Like I said, I use that for generic IPL scripts, but not in an inline.

If you know the location of the script itself (but not iwperl) you can use this in the shebang line:

#!/bin/sh
eval 'exec `/usr/bin/iwgethome`/iw-perl/bin/iwperl -x -S $0 ${1+"$@}';
#!iwperl -w

This implies that in DOS iwperl is in your path.

Old IW inline calls are hackable and not secured. So IW has come up with a better inline call concept and any change can be hidden from the users...
