Can't start TeamSite after upgrade

System

I was able to get into TeamSite after upgrading it from 6.5 sp3 to 6.7.2, but then I edited the tsusers.xml file and did an iwreset -a and now it's not working. I have since put the tsusers.xml file back to before I edited it and restared the server. TeamSite won't come up.

My "Interwoven TeamSite" service is failing to start.

iwtrace.log

Here is what I get in my log.

It may not like the content store. Rename your folder e:\iw-store to e:\old-iw-store and create a new e:\iw-store - then reboot

This will tell you if it does not like the store for some reason, not a long term solution but points you in the right direction. If you can remove your old jobs (because that is what it was compaining about) then you can remove everything under workflow in the iw-store.

Migrateduser

I was just on the phone with support and they had me do the same thing. Unfortunately all it did was create an empty file called TSRunning inside a new iw-store folder.

nipper

So I assume no Y:

Check event viewer for any errors relating to TeamSite.

Migrateduser

Nope. No Y: and no event view errors.

Support also informed me that Windows 2000 is not supported for 6.7.2. However, the compatibility matrix on the support site says Windows 2000 is supported and that's what I went with.

https://support.interwoven.com/resources/products/compatibility/teamsite672.asp

So, now I'm waiting for support to figure something out, otherwise I'll have to restore my server.

nipper

That is might f***ed up.

How about upgrading to Win2003 ? You will want to do that anyway. I did it on my VM and it was pretty easy.

Migrateduser

Not in my timeline for today. Plan on it this summer.

Migrateduser

Some progress. I renamed the tsusers.xml to tsusers.xml.bak and now it's running. I still have some issues but I'm getting further.

RonaldV

Is win2k still supported?

Adam Stoller

Is win2k still supported?

Nope (as I indicated in a similar thread less than a minute ago)

Migrateduser

Well, if it's not supported then maybe they should update their compatibility matrix to match their release notes.

https://support.interwoven.com/resources/products/compatibility/teamsite672SP2.asp

They (support) said that it wasn't supported on 6.7.2, but then when I mentioned the above matrix they caved.
