Problem in adding user

Hi

When I am trying to add new LDAP Non os user on teamsite from Admin window I am getting message that user already exists but when if I click on Manage Users under Roles and Permission that particular user does not exists in list of avilable users. I tried to login also with that user id and I am getting message "No Such User". Can any one suggest any possible reason for this ?

Since I am novice to teamsite can any one tell me the use of "Web Server UID" parameter ?

Check the logs regarding the error messages when new users are added. Try the CLT <iw-home>/bin/iwuseradm list-users -l and check the result with the user list you see in TS GUI.

if you would have read the manuals you could have got it. The "Web Server UID" allows the web server to see the web content as an outside viewer would see it, in order for users to be able to preview the Web site like any external user would. Many external browsers access the web server as "nobody", this is used as the default.

What do you want to do with it?
