Reverse deployment

If I want a reverse deployment to take place from current target server to source server, is it required that both the servers must be base server ? Or can a receiver server do reverse deployment ?

reverse deployment is intended to get things back from receiver servers that can't send. and remember that the reverse deployment is invoked from the sender (OD base).

To do the reverse deployment,you should have odbase.xml file in both the loacation because OD Base is act as reciever as well as sender.If target server does not have odbase and has only odrcvr then reverse deployment is not possible.

That's incorrect. Reverse Deploy or no reverse Deploy, OD Receiver should have only Receiver configuration File, default name is odrcvr.xml.
