Workflow Conditional JAVA Task Problem

Hi All,
At my workflow I want to add one more approval task according to the attached files or submit date - time of the job. Since the users can attach new files at any stage I want to add an external task and call a java class just before my conditional task. (I know it is easy to do it with perl but I ama very unfamiliar with PERL) I will set a variable true or false, and by using an OR gateway and SCRIPT variable will continue with the correct task. How can I implement that java task adn where should I deploy it? Also how will I call it from external task?

I'm a bit confused by your question as there appear to be multiple facets involved at different parts of the process.

you start implementation.Again, the issues you describe are very customer-specific and as such you need to figure out the design. You may need to define a model that has N tasks, of which only M tasks are likely to ever be activated during the normal course of the job, and it may be a different M tasks for different instantiations of the model. Since I don't have the full requirements nor access to those who are specifying the requirements - it is difficult for me to comment on their validity. It sounds like a highly questionable requirement to me, but you'll have to judge that for yourself.
