PDF Import Issue

Hi All,

We get the attached Error message when we try to import a PDF into the Mediabin Server (PROD), this happens on both the Medibin Windows Client and Web Client.

We have used the "PDF Decoder" in the Task and our server does have the Acrobat Reader.

Please help out with your thoughts.

Are you able to import any pdf file with out error using no task selection

Option 1:

If you not seeing any error ,

issue with the new custom task

Option 2:

If you are seeing the error ,

check the reader version in MB and the pdf compatibility you are trying to import

Thanks for your feedback.

When I import the file as a "Non-Image" Asset its getting imported properly, but the preview functionality is not working.

When I try to import with the custom task that has the "PDF Decoder", I get this issue.

The version of the Acrobat Reader on my Dev box and the PROD Box are the same, but this issue happens only on the PROD Box.

Can you ingest MS Office documents with previews? By the way lack of a preview when one chooses "Ingest as Non-image " is the designed behavior.

The probable cause is that your Black Ice print driver is misconfigured so that it is dropping the resultant files in the wrong location.
