Hi, I have requirement in which I have to generate a page which will take data from 2 dcr's. I am not aware of how this could be done. Please help me with this.We are using teamsite 6.5.

Since you're using 6.5 - I believe it's safe to assume you're using TPLs - right? (I seem to recall that the XSLT PTs didn't come into play until 6.7)

If you know how to generate a page from a single DCR and understand the mechanics of PTs it should be pretty easy. You should be able to read the documentation on your server (

http://ts-server/iw/help/tst/pt

) to get most of the help you need, at least to start with.

If/when you have some code and are still having problems getting it to work, you'll have to provide that code and sufficient information about the DCRs (perhaps samples of such) in order for us to help you (as opposed to having us do the work for you)

There are actually several TPL mechanisms that you can use. Once upon a time I've illustrated one

I am trying to retrieve value from the field text, I am not getting any error but the value is also not being retrieved. Please suggest what might be wrong.

Are you attempting to do the page generation from within the GUI or via a CLT (wrapped in a script or directly from the command line)?

The default

mode

for

iw_load_dcr

should be "docroot", which I believe should assume that the path provided is relative to the root of the workarea in the absence of an explicit

-iw_include-location

specification - so assuming that is accurate in your case it seems like it should work. However, I believe that assumption is only valid when doing page generation through the GUI - if you're attempting to do page generation via a CLT I believe you must provide the

-iw_include-location

parameter yourself (with the appropriate file system path argument)

Another option would be to specify a

mode

dcrlocal

and specify the path as relative to the original DCR (e.g.:

../../../column/data/test.xml

) - in which case you don't have to worry about the

-iw_include-location

part.
