Problems during deployments with multiple definitions

Hi,

When I try to run a deployment script with multiple definitions, I get this error:
Details: Duplicated destination area is not allowed

The problem arises only when I put 2 under

When I put only one with all the other script parameters kept intact, it works just fine.

So a little confused on why it is behaving like that.

Oops .. The earlier post missed the XML tags.
What I meant was:

The problem arises only when I put 2 "execDeploymentTask" under "Deployment"

When I retain any one "execDeploymentTask" inside it, everything works fine.

Running multiple deployment job definition is common practice.
are 2 (or more) of your definitions have the same target path? post your config file.

I had run multiple definition deployments a lot of times before. But somehow, this is not letting me to successfully deploy the files now.

I don't believe that the following is legal:

      <targetFilesystem area="/web/salesnet.geappliances.com:9021/SalesNet" />

I'm not sure if that's the source of all of your problems, but I'd suggest fixing that so you can find out if it is.

Hi,

We have been using port numbers with all our web instances and they have never given us any problems.

In this case, if we remove multiple execDeploymentTasks, the deployments happen just fine, even to this target area.

For that matter, the issue does not depend on the target at all. I have tried with different targets and every time it throws the error "Duplicated destination area is not allowed" with the targetarea of the first execDeploymentTask.

So not sure of whats really happening.

Multiple execDeplymentTask definitions with different TargetReplicationFarms containing MULTIPLE HOSTS each - throws ERROR

Multiple execDeplymentTask definitions with different TargetReplicationFarms containing SINGLE HOST each - NO ERROR

Single execDeplymentTask definition with TargetReplicationFarm containing SINGLE / MULTIPLE HOSTs - NO ERROR

Why does it behave like that???

This was a problem with our old OD (5.6.0.0) version.
Upgraded it and the issue got resolved.
