kissthedevil

Hi Guys,

I need Installer of OD4.5 64-bit for Unix version. There is a need for this OD version to be installed on one of our servers for a short term during the migration process till the receiver side servers are upgraded.

If anyone has the old installers please upload it over here or send it by email. Smiley Happy

Thanks in advance.

Good luck. I don't believe OD 4.5 was ever released for 64-bit systems, I'm not even sure that 64-bit systems existed when OD 4.5 came out. But frankly, it's been so long since 4.5 was released (and EOL'd) that I'm not sure you'll be able to get a 32-bit version even from [Autonomy] Interwoven.

You'd probably be better off (and probably get results faster) just biting the bullet and upgrading OD on both source and target sides.

The biggest problem will be upgrading your deployment configuration files since the format changed significantly since 4.5. OD 5.x (at least through 5.5.1 I believe) had a utility for assisting with the process - but I don't think that's been shipped since then.

If I weren't on a project right now I'd even be tempted to offer my services - so, like I said before - good luck!

You're right on this part. However, sometimes easy things like this are just twisted by the demand and situation that one can't go with the simple and straight road. Developers like us are forced to go thorough the roughest parts lol.

Now since that I got the confirmation from AI support and Devnet that there was never a 64 bit version for 4.5 and 4.5 never supported Linux I'll have to take an alternative approach. Deploy from OD 6.2 Base -> Old Server with OD 6.2 and 4.5 -> OD 4.5 Rcvr with all the configurations maintained for three different environments.

Well that's how it is. Some time upgrades are just messy. Ny ways thanks to all you guys for the support and response on the same. Smiley Happy
