Changing the version of a file without changing its content

Hi All,

We all know that to change the version of a file there should be some modification in its content or the metadata.
I want to change the version of a file (say from 2 to 3) without a change in its content or metadata.
Does the iwsubmit command provide any options to achieve this functionality.

Nope - you have to change the file - usually you can just add an innocuous space character somewhere; alternatively you might be able to "touch" the file to change its timestamp, and that might be sufficient.

Adding to what Ghoti mentioned, here is a way to change the file modification timestamp using perl (since I see you are using Windows and there is no Microsoft supplied method for touching a file)

$filename = "mydcr";
$atime = $mtime = time;
utime $atime, $mtime, $filename;
[/PHP]

You can touch a file and do iwsubmit on that file and its version will increase by one.
