The workflow doesn't transition to the Deploy task or it does transition but dies in the Deploy task?
If the latter you should check your file opendeploy_mercury.pl
if the former then check the task details in the workflow tab.

Workflow transitions to Deploy task, but it doesn't enter into opendeploy_mercury.pl. I checked with logs.

External Workflow Tasks Not working in TeamSite 6.7

A new feature of TeamSite 6.7 is that external workflow tasks can run as a user instead of SYSTEM. In this case, if a user does not have permission to execute the external Perl scripts, then they should be executed as SYSTEM. This article explains how to execute external tasks as SYSTEM from TeamSite 6.7.

For the external tasks to be executed as SYSTEM in TeamSite 6.7, you need to set the following in the [authentication] section of the iw.cfg file:

[authentication]
impersonate_without_password=false

After updating iw.cfg, run iwreset -a to reset the services.

It is not attached, and you should do some debugging on your own or hire someone competent enough to fix this.

You have to compile it first and check for any warnings or errors
/opt/iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl -w -c /opt/iw-home/httpd/iw-bin/opendeploy_mercury.pl

opendeploy_mercury.pl works fine on from command prompt. But in workflow its stuck in Deploy task. Not sure why. Any pointer please.

You haven't attached your file yet.
When you say "...works fine on from command prompt..." what does it mean?

It looks like your opendeploy_mercury.pl file does not have execute permission. Perhaps give it execute permission?

Did you run this:

/opt/iw-home/httpd/iw-bin/opendeploy_mercury.pl

If that fails, your 1st line in the script is wrong.

Yes, when I run the command deployment takes place from Staging to QA webserver. But from the workflow tab its Deploy task is always Active task.

I have attached my wft again. Please let me know where i am wrong.

When you run it from the workflow - does the deployment happen?
If so - that would be an indication that your script never performs a transition (or at least under certain circumstances fails to perform a transition).

If it doesn't run at all from the workflow - then you need to look back through all the various tidbits of advice you've been given and try debugging it yourself.
