Give Master role through CLT

Hello All,

How can I grant TeamSite master access through console for TS 6.72. SP2?

I ran the below command but in TS UI, "This user is a TeamSite Master" checkbox is not checked.

iwaccess add-permission-entry /default/main/gBusiness/ -user 999922859 -role master

O/p - ERROR:02200: no such role

Is there anything which I am missing or is there any other way by which this can be done?

I always use vi iwhome/conf/roles/ts-users.xml

and change the master paramter

Do I need to do iwreset to reflect the change?

I edited it and made a user master , saved it. But in TeamSite UI, i checked in the Administration tab--> Manage Users, this user is not showing as master.

If you did it correctly, then an iwreset (no flags) or waiting about 10 minutes (when the server rereads its config files anyway) should be sufficient to see the change reflected.

If you don't see the change reflected after an iwreset (or 10 minute wait) then you probably did something incorrectly.

First - I don't believe Unix systems like userids that begin with numeric digits (as it can become easily confused with a UID, which is a purely numeric value)

Secondly, have you tried:

/apps/Interwoven/TeamSite/bin/iwuseradm set-master userid true

I'd check with Support - it's possible that SiteMinder might be happy with all numeric userids but that TeamSite isn't and hence it might not be doing the "right thing".
