Error in Deployment | Open Deploy

Hi
We have a Teamsite server installed on windows machine and OD server is also on the same machine. We are facing an issue in the deployment of a XML file when i try and deploy this file using OD it gives the following error :

Base: Exceeded all 3 retries to get a connection with the target OpenDeploy host.
Failed creating socket.

By reading this error i could assume that there is some problem in the Receiver server but i am able to ping both the receiver servers. Also i tried to publish a .page and was able to do it successfully. Strange it seems

When we use this base server to deploy the same file on tha UAT server then it works fine.

I still have to check the Receiver server logs. Any inputs here will be helpful.

I have seen this error mostly during firewall or network issues. Make sure you have all these issues sorted. Have you deployed to this server before?

If OD receiver service is down also you will get "Failed creating socket" error. Connect to OD receiver server and execute the
"iwodserverstatus" from "od-home/bin" command prompt.

I was able to publish the files to the prod servers till yesterday.

Livesite server which are the receivers are on a unix machine and when i ran iwodserverstatus command i got the following error :

OpenDeploy server host: localhost, RMI registry port: 9173
Could not establish RMI connection to the OpenDeploy server.
Please check that the OpenDeploy server is running.

Does this mean that the OD receiver is not able to communicate to the ODBase server.

I think this might be firewall issue as some changes were done today morning.

I will try and revert those changes and then try again.

Your OpenDeploy Receiver is down. Try starting it and verify your deployment before reverting anything.
