Altenative ways to convert .page to Html page

Hi,

I need a small help regarding conversion of .page to Html pages.
Normally if i select a .page and go to Sitepublisher menu item and press Generate HTML its generating.
My requirement is
In a workflow all the .pages that i select should be coneverted to html.
can any one suggest me altenative methods like clt commands to be called in my ipl file of wft for conevrtion of .pages to html.
Any other alternative ways of suggessions are welcomed too.

I believe you can use the following URI command to achieve this:

/iw-cc/livesite/PageConversionServlet?vpath=<vpath>&iw_sessionstring=<session_string>&destDir=<area-relative-dest-dir>&suffix=.html

I leave it to you to figure out how to get the proper values for the parameters in the above, also note that the above may not be "officially supported" but I've seen it work in a 7.2.0 environment - use at your own risk.

Perhaps - but if the issue is just to get page generation working (perhaps not using LS), the URI I provided should work from within an External Task in either a WFT or WFM (use something like LWP: Smiley Frustrated

Just try to create a task and use the same task parameters used in that workflow

Are you using WFT of WFM in your implementaion?

not sure but you might have to do some authentication first to get the session string.

As "worries" points out - if he can copy the job-specification details of the Generate HTML task from the PLC workflow, he should be able to include that within a WFT just as easily as a WFM.

That assumes the task does not use any WFM style global variables or any other WFM specific datatype.

If you retrieve the task definition from the job specification of the instantiated (debug-mode) PLC workflow - you should be able to just plug it directly into the WFT. To the best of my knowledge WFTs and WFMs utilize the same job specification code because the underlying workflow engine does not distinguish between WFM and WFT.

Try to use this code as IN PLC workflow it is an CGI Task
1)if you find any issues remove "${siteName}" in the DestinationDirectory variable
2)Dont change the successorset descriptions as this code works with only that descriptions
3)change sucess and failure tasks accordingly

As per goti solution you should send iw_session 's value to above variable ,this is the default job variable initialized when you initiate a workflow with New Job or Submit

Try to find iw_session in wft document PDF and pass it accordingly to the command.
