Edition submit owner

What assigns the user ID shown to have submitted the files when looking at the submit log for editions?

Previously, in a particular branch (lowescom), we would look at the editions and their submit log and then the submit details and know by the user id associated who had actually submitted. Now it always shows one user who happens to be the owner of the workarea from which the files are submitted. She does not submit files.

If I look at another branch (lowesnet), the ID in the submit log is always "TS Admin". I'm actually the owner of the workarea involved for this branch. I am a TeamSite Master and part of the "TS-Admins" group that we created - but not "TS Admin." TS Admin does not submit files. The "TS-Admins" group does have the role of administrator on this branch. In the attached is the publish edition task from the wft file for this branch and the publish.ipl.

In a third branch (loweslink) the editions show the user who submits the files. This user is not the workarea owner nor are they administrators of the branch. The WFM workflow used does have the "owner" for the Publish_Edition step set to $IW_USER.

It appears that the $IW_USER in the Publish_Edition stop of the WFM workflow is the key with WFM's to seeing the correct user ID associated with editions. Is this correct?

Now, what needs to occur for the WFT.'s to show the user ID of the person who actually did the submission?

In your wft's, who is set as the owner of the submit task? Are you using the area owner (iw_areaowner) as the owner? If so, you'll want to change this to the user who submits the workflow (iw_user).
