Does redirect remap works for docroot based image paths in component

Hi All,we are manging the images,js,css in a workarea(called A) other than site created workarea(called

. I have configured proxy redirect remap to redirect the request to to the assets workarea(A) for the htmls in (B) then it is working fine.

but when i am coding a component for a site in worakea(A), which contains path to images like
ex:-/images/1.jpg
but redirect remap is not working for that images in component.

Quick response is needed.
