New content store permissions
Jenni
Hi All,
Thanks for all your help.
We have a new content content store in addition to the 'default' content store. We moved required DCT/JS/TPL files from the default store to the new store. When we try to generate the output file from the TPL, it gives us a permission denied issue. The same tpl generates the required output and works fine in the default store. Note that the permission settings for the branch and workarea are the same as in default branch for the new content store. We would like to know if there is any special setting that we need to tweak in for the new store related to the tpl output file generation.
Thanks

Check the permissions on the cfg and tpl files. If any of your groups on the old server were windows groups, then they didn't come over unless you perform an iwidmap. Otherwise, you'll have to add the users or groups to the tpl and cfg files. Also check to see if the tpl file contains any callouts to external perl moduels or other external files or other tpls and check those permissions as well.

Hi, Thanks for the response. We had the not moved any store from old to new. We just have the store created in the same box we had default store on.
I checked the permissions and they are same. Any other pointers?

Can you generate from a command line on the server? Or do you get permisssion errors there as well.
What about IIS permissions? Although that shouldn't really be an issue on the existing server. You could try reseting the TS_Web_Preview accounts password.

Thanks for your replies everyone.
The issue was related to the permissions set at the content store level. It was set to Read Only when we checked on the mount.
