Deploy multiple fields to one database column

I'm trying to see if there are any ways to combine two dcr fields and deploy them to one database column. The date and time fields are separate in my dcr, but I'm deploying to a datetime field in the database. Any fancy substitutions anyone has done out there?

I believe you would need to create a custom "tuple preprocessor" - read the DD manuals regarding this and that will hopefully lead you in the right direction.

Yeah, I knew that'd be an option, but wanted to see if there was a way around it with with either dd config, or maybe with a db trigger/stored procedure.
