7.3.1 and edit components

I loaded some demo spars up and tried to edit a component but it is downloading the XML to the launchpad and not starting the edit component GUI.

Do components have EAs - similar to the way that DCRs have EAs?
(as you know, I haven't done much with SP/LS - so I don' t have anything to look at right now)

Not used in that manner. There are EAs and they are identical

If you start up your 7.3.1 instance, go to

/iwadmin/main/livesite/components/workarea/installed components

and traverse to a folder with files and click edit on a .component, the factory installed components are there.

I went to:

/iwadmin/main/livesite/component/WORKAREA/Installed Components/Interwoven/Analytics Integration/

and clicked Edit on

General Analytics.component

and (once I enabled pop-ups for my TS server) got the Edit Component window.

The file in question has two EAs on it:

possible that this is a 6.7.2 or 7.2.1 store ...

Thanks, something must have gotten hosed on the webapps install. All EAs are there
