IMporting files
Jessica1848
Hi ,
I am trying to import a file from the system to a workarea. When I do it from file menu,
it says "Error importing file x to Teamsite Sevrer:
Error moving temp file /var/tmp/..... to/.iwmnt/default/....../x :13"
Thanks in advance
P.S.: Solaris environment TS5.5.2

Just a guess.. Could it be the permissions for that folder?

What platform are you running TeamSite server on?
1. If UNIX then check for file access permissions from command shell for that particular fodler using ls -l
2. If windows, then check for properties and check for attributes wihtin properties
Hope this helps!

On most Solaris machines, an errno of 13 means "EACCES" (permission denied).
Your user probably does not have permissions on the workarea, or on the directory in which (s)he is trying to import the file.

Server is on UNIX.
the dir permission for that dir is drwxrwxrwx.
SO What can be the problem now?

Could you provide details about:
1. Who owns the workarea?
2. Which groups this user belongs to?
3. Is it only for this workarea that Import in not working?
4. Did you have the group for sharing while creating workarea?
Thanks!

Hi Jessica,
are you the TeamSite administrator for your company? If not, you should contact him/her. If you are, but unfamiliar with unix commands, ask the unix admin to give you some basic knowledge.
Anyway, here's an example when doing
ls -l
in a telnet session:
drwxrwxr-x 2 iwts developers 512 Nov 22 14:05 images
In this example 'iwts' is the owner and the group is 'developers'. You would either have to be the owner or member of the developers group. Check which groups you belong to by typing:
groups username
(your username).
If you don't have the required permissions, you need to get them.
Good Luck!
