Copying of default.sitemap across environments

All,

we are in the process of going Live with our new Sitepublisher website and run into a problem where we need some advice for. We have prepared the default.sitemap file in UAT and whould like to copy it now to the PROD environemtn but I've seen some remarks in the devent that this is not supported. My question is now if you have come across the same issue and how we worked around it. My basic idea is for now to copy not the file itself but just the node structure. This raises the qustion of the nodeId's are actually registerd somewhere in SitePublisher meaning that in the example below the node id g4r013x6 copied from UAT to PROD will not work in PROD since PROD SitePublisher cant deal with it.
