Fresh Install TS 7.3.1 tsusers.xml tsgroups.xml

If I'm running TS 6.7.2 SP2 and am doing a fresh install of TS 7.3.1, can I copy the following and have it just work?

* iw-home/conf/roles/tsusers.xml
* iw-home/conf/tsgroups.xml
* iw-home/conf/roles.xml
* iw-home/local/entities/*

I've same requirement, but scenario is bit different.

we have two TS installations represents DEV and PROD.

All users, roles, groups have set up properly in PROD TS.

we'd like replicate the same in DEV TS(junk users created, lot many users are no where now..).

instead of finding to delete the junk users, we want to make SYNC with PROD TS.

By just copying will it be SYNC?
After copying will the same reflect in UI? if make update through UI it should not go back to initial stage, it should just update the latest SYNC data.

Please suggest. Also let me know if my points are not clear.

It's not quite that easy in a non-new environment. Are you also bring the prod content store back into dev or just reconfiguring access rights?

In addition to what rpoulin asked, it also makes a difference if you're talking about Windows domain users, Windows local server users, Unix OS users, or Unix Non-OS users.

Since you (aneelgkumar) did not bother to provide this information - it is difficult to provide any sort of reasonable guidance

sorry for insufficient info,

in DEV TS, we have set of users and no body is working on. we want to make login to this TS should also work as same as PROD TS. I'm looking for only access rights. No need of any content migration.

As per my knowledge both DEV TS, PROD TS are
7.3.1 - (red hat) Linux OS Users.

Especially given that this is a dev box, don't bother trying to clean up user accounts and creating a needless headache. Instead, I'd say just copy the prod tsusers.xml to somewhere on your dev box and write a quick script to loop through it and `iwuseradm add-user` each entry that's not already there on the target. A similar approach can be done for tsgroups as well.
