custom_instantiation screen is not getting updated in WFM

Hi,

the custom_instantiation.cfg used for the instantiation of a workflow is not getting modified .Even if we make any changes to the file and submit to staging nothing happens.
cfg file's content is latest as we modified but when we invoke the workflow it picks the information from the default_config.xml always without the modification we included.

Perhaps you made a typo in one of the directory names, since (as I recall - I haven't done much with this recently) you have to create sub-directories for each of the branch vpath elements in order to store your custom instantiation configuration file.

What do you mean by nothing happends?
What is the behavior you expect vs what you see happening? does the form load at all?

Hi ,

The form gets loaded with the default format that is specified in the default_config.xml.

And it does not invoke the custom_initiation.cfg when it loads the form.So all the customization that i have done in the cfg does not get reflected in the form when i invoke a job.

i tried to run your workflow and it is getting modified and is being displayed successfully(find the screenshot and .cfg attached)
I dont think there is anything wrong with the files(as it is being displayed for me).. except for the error highlighted by crsb(which i have corrected in attached .cfg file).
Make sure that the file is getting submitted to staging successfully.

I checked the custom_instantiation.cfg file in the STAGING , it has the latest code that i modified .

The problem is that the custom_instantiation.cfg file is not getting recognised by the system.It always sees the default_config.xml and populates the form when a job is invoked.

default_config.xml and custom_instantiation.cfg are two different files and have two different jobs. Instead of just complaining about "nothing is happening" spend sometime writing details about your problem and examples of what you expect to see vs what you see (data sample).

The problem is resolved . I didn't select any file to invoke the Job.
I was invoking the Actions-> New Job menu directly.

Not certain but I would *think* it would be one of the onsave events.

Calling in the onSave Event works but in the function we have to specify at the end "return true" to successly goto the next task.

Thats the basic thing in OnSave/OnSaveValid... functions. It should return the value.
