iwat filter syntax

hi,
I am trying to figure out how to add destroyfse_filter to my iwat commad, but i am not sure where to add this. I tried like this:

iwat.exe SyncDestroy "D:\Programs\Interwoven\TeamSite/iw-perl/bin/iwperl

\Programs\Interwoven\TeamSite\httpd\iw-bin\Check_eventTriggered.ipl" destroyfse_filter="~/^(.*)MyHerbalife(.*)$/"

but when i do iwlsat...i dont see that destroyfse_filter at all. Any help is greatly appreciated.

iwat takes few optional Flags and only 2 (two) parameters, Event regex and the desired handler.
You use 4 parameters so #3 and #4 are simply ignored. Try to change quoting, like this:

iwat SyncDestroy "...iwperl ...scriptPath Param1 Param2..."

Note single Double Quote Bracketing, that's what binds a string with spaces into one parameter

What is your TS Version? Unless some new parameters that I'm not aware of were introduced to iwat in 7.x ,
you may have some conceptual issue here.

Up to at least TS 6.7.2 "iwat" itself does not filter anything at all - ever. As long as an Event Type
matches the Pattern you've provided as the first parameter your handler will be called. It is your
(the script developer) responsibility to get parameters, figure out what happens and filter out (ignore?)
"false positives".

What it means is that TS does not know and does not care what you do or do not do within your code.
Note also that you get control "postmortem", an Event already happened, has been logged etc...

This is ancient history. It may still even work, who knows...

Regardless, these settings have nothing whatever to do to iwat Trigger Parameters.
If you read KB Article carefully you'll see that these are Entries of the [iwserver]
Section of iw.cfg File
