Timeout and Or in WorkflowBuilder

Is it a bug or me ? (or am I a bug myself ?)

I try to create my workflow thought WorkflowBuilder (5.5.2)

A task A must be timeout so, I put a dummy task (B) and a or between A and B...

In the generated file, the timeout transition as no successor !!!


    <dummytask name = "Task3" start = "f">
        <timeout v = "+000001"/>
        <activation>
          .....

If the TimeOut point to another task, it works

    <dummytask name = "Task3" start = "f">
        <timeout v = "+000001">
            <succ v = "EndTask"/>
        </timeout>
        <activation>
          .....

Any solution ??

This statement makes no sense.

Acording to the DTD for <timeout>, a <timeout> element must contain a <succ> element.

I'm not sure that I understand your question correctly. If you have a task A that you want to timeout, ideally you would set the timeout on task A, not in a separate dummy task.

When you generated a file that had Task3 with no successor, did your workflow have a link from Task3 to another task?

I am not a WorkflowBuilder user, but the manual says that you need to set the Type of the transition to Timeout. (The default type is Successor.) Did you do that?

If you just want Task2 to timeout, you don't need the dummy task. You can add a timeout transition from Task2 to Task4 (in addition to the successor transition.)
