I have imported an xml file to my workarea.I need to populate my metadata capture form with values from that xml using javascript.I am getting the values when i keep that xml my local PC.Please give me one solution.....???

The load statement raise an error like resource not found..

Try using only
xmlDoc.load("/Product.xml").

I would probably go a completely different route and try to use something like jquery - it's much more portable. ActiveXObjects will only work on Windows and quite possibly only in IE - and given Microsofts ability to completely change things from one version of IE to the next, it is likely that you'll have problems in that department as well.

I suggest googling jquery (along with other terms that fit your requirements) and see if you can find some reasonable code to base yours on from there.
