Linking .page to sitemap node using script/code

Has anyone done linking of .pages to sitemap node programmatically?
If yes can you please share same or pointers on how this can be achieved.

How are you trying to link the node and link? You'd probably have to create a component which was similar to the current site maps but output some attribute or convention to the name and have a map or list of pages which can be programmatically linked to the node by changing the href attribute on the node.
