I have an xml file in a folder inside my workarea. I need to populate a item in my dct with a value from that xml. Please help me.

This kind of request is generally termed: "Can someone write my code for me for free" and is generally frowned upon.

If you post the code you have, someone might try to assist you in identifying the problems and even perhaps provide some fixes - but if you're just looking to have someone else write the code for you, for which you are most likely being paid (and for which they are not) - I wouldn't suggest holding your breath while waiting. You might get a response, but you don't really deserve it without putting some effort into it yourself.

You don't have to post the entire code - just the relevant portion of it to show / explain what it is you are currently doing / trying - and provide information about the results (good and bad) of what you are seeing when running your code. You may also have to provide a sample of the XML that you want to read and the DCT / DCR (at least the relevant portions) for us to put your question in context.

You asked for help but you didn't really provide sufficient information for us to help you.
