How to prevent events getting logged in iwevents log file

Hi All,

We have a deployment script and after we run this script our report service is getting stopped.
We can see the script logging lot of events in iwevents log file and we believe this is causing the report service to stop.
Is there any way we could prevent the script from logging events in the iwevent log file.

I assume it's logging in iwevents.log because it is running commands that generate events to be logged (e.g.: iwsubmit) - so based on that assumption, no - you're not going to be able to prevent it from logging in iwevents.log.

I think the bigger question is Why do the actions being performed by the script cause the report service (I assume you mean TeamSite's ReportCenter - yes?) to stop?

Is there anything in the report service logs to indicate why it is stopping?

You should probably open a case with Support - if you can streamline the script to make it as small as possible with as little use of custom modules, etc. as possible and get it to reproduce the problem reliably - they may be willing to attempt to reproduce the problem in-house; if they can do that it will be much easier for them to consider trying to debug the issue (otherwise they'll claim it's custom code and they don't provide support for custom code).
