Facing Problem with group task in assigning users
kumardas
Hi,
I have a workflow designed using WFM and using java interface (not perl). In my workflow, i have a group task, for this group task i am assigning users dynamically through pre processor command. Below is the code i am using to add dynamic list of users to the group task.
//wfmgrouptask is the group task and userlist is a list object, which contains users to be added to group task.
---------------------------------------
userlist.add(userlistarray.toString());
wfmgrouptask.addSharedByUsers(userlist);
---------------------------------------
When the execution comes to the above line, its giving an error like, Operation not permitted and giving an CSAuthorizationException. With this error i can understand that there is nothing wrong with the code and its purely permission and access related problem. Can any one suggest me that exactly which permission or access is required to the workflow user to overcome this problem ? Pleaset let me know, if you need any additional information on this....Thanks in Advance.

Make sure that all the members owning that grouptask has got access privilege to the workarea/asset. If anyone of them doesn't have it, even if that user doesn't take ownership of that grouptask, thie error will come.
I faced this error in .wft workflows in the past.

Hi,
Thank you for the quick reply. I am sure all the group users are having permissions in that workarea. But still facing the problem. Even we have tried with the teamsite default editor role, still its not working and giving the same exception.
Thank you..

Is it possible that your Java task is executing as a user that doesn't have access to modify the properties of the group task?

Hi Guys,
we have resolved this issue now. Its related to branch access problem. Some of the users do not have access to the branch so its causing the exception. Thank you for the suggessions guys.
