Timout for DCR

The problem here is we have a very large DCR and when I click the generate button to create a file using the dcr, it waits and waits then it gives an error. I think the error is due to time to process this record exceeds the timeout of the web server.

actually after 5 minutes of executing it gives a error message " page cannot be displayed".

can u tell me what could be reason behind it

What TeamSite version are you using (including SP), what browser version? You might want to check out the fixed bug lists, I'm pretty sure we've fixed similar sounding problems in SP3 of 5.5.2.

To further elaborate on the possible bug, there is a known issue with saving large DCRs in pre-SP3. When you click to generate or preview a page, the first thing that it wants to do is save the file, and that is where the known bug may be.

36830 After installing TST552 SP2, saving big DCRs (about 120KB) takes 5-10 minutes.

It also me be a CGI timeout. So the process takes too long and the task gets dropped. There is a detting to make the timout longer. There is a post about this...maybe in my name...
