Error in OpenDeploy

Hi,
Actually we are trying to deploy the content from one enterprise server to the other server.
But it fails and shows following error in the OD logs.

***ERROR - Job ID=m1Deployment=hudson_dev/consumer_dircmp_dev

Base: Exceeded all 3 retries to get a connection with the target OpenDeploy host.

Failed creating socket.

And even it fails to connect to the server:Connect Failed

Please help me out, what may be the cause for this issue?

That can be caused by various configuration problems.

Your OD Receiver is not running or is not listening or listening on the *wrong* port.
Your network Target node may be inaccessible from the Source or OD traffic may be
blocked by the firewall, etc...

Get your local networking guru and explain your problem, he may be able to help

Thanks for your reply i had verified with reasons wat you had suggested.

I have checked and confirmed the OD receiver is running.

the port number OD receiver is running on is 20014 and is listening

this is not the problem since we can correctly ping to the webserver from TS sserver though we cant telnet to the specific port-20014)

there is no firewall between the servers

If you cannot telnet to port 20014 of the receiver from the sender - then you will not be able to deploy there either (at least not to 20014

Dess the receiver have multiple NIC cards / network IP addresses?
If so - the receiver may be bound on one NIC / IP address - but your TeamSite server may think that it's bound on a different IP address. I.e. this may be a DNS / hosts-file issue.
